Common Names:

Norfolk Island Palm

Distribution & Habitat:

Norfolk Island

Description:

Very similar to R. sapida, but stouter, and with thicker petioles. Its fruit is small, ovoid/ellipsoid, and dull red/brown in colour.

Culture:

Temperate, shady, sheltered and moist. More warmth tolerant than R. sapida, and can grow successfully in sub-tropical climates.
