Habitat:[edit]
Rainforest of north-east and eastern New Guinea.
Description:[edit]
Small to medium sized, solitary, slender palm, with fish-tail shaped leaflets.
General:[edit]
A popular plant amonst collectors, but it has problems (see below...).
Culture:[edit]
This species is proving very difficult to grow. The most common experience is that the plant will grow to about the 6in pot size, and then just stop, and then eventually die. If anyone has managed to get these plants beyond the 6in pot stage, please contact me, I'd be very grateful to hear how you did it.
