Grasslands of northwestern Paraguay on red sandy soil, where is rare.
Description:[edit]
Very small palm of 40 cms. tall to the top of their leaves. Clustered subterranean stems. Glacous leaves with narrow leaflets. Lack of spines on petioles. Round and brownish fruits with rounded seeds.

Criticaly endangered in habitat.
Culture:[edit]
Unknown in cultivation. From their habitat, they would like well drained, sandy soil. Frost and drought resistent.
