Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Comes from a single mountain in the Sierra Madre Oriental in San Luis Potosi state, Mexico. They grow at an altitude of about 850m in a transitional woodland between mixed deciduous cloud forest and oak woods on limestone.

Description:[edit]

A small, acaulescent plant with a small crown of 2-4 glossy green leaves to about 70cm long, with 20-30 broad, thin leaflets. New leaves are bronze to chocolate brown.

Cultivation:[edit]

Likes a shady, well drained position.
