This species is regarded as a synonym of Corypha utan

Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Endemic to the middle and south Andaman Islands.

Description:[edit]

A massive palm, the largest of the Coryphas which are the largest of the palms. It is a solitary fan palm with bluish grey, deeply indented leaves up to 2 metres (6 ft) across, on the end of a 4 metre (12 ft) long spined petiole.

Cultivation:[edit]

Hot, sunny, well drained position. Tropical in its requierments.
