Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Open areas on steep rocky hills, in Southern Sichuan and Yunnan Province, China. Hot, hummid summers, are followed by very cold winters, with severe frosts commonplace.

Description:[edit]

A medium sized plant, to about 3m tall, and with leaves to 1.2m long.

Culture:[edit]

A very hardy plant, if provided with good drainage. Tolerant of heavy frosts, and long dry periods.
