Found in the Oaxaca and Puebla areas of Mexico.

Description:[edit]

A medium sized cycad, with an upright stem to about 3m tall, and up to 300mm in diameter. The leaves are a dull dark green, 70-85 cm long, keeled (opposing leaflets inserted at 90" on rachis), with 160-200 leaflets. The basal leaflets reduce to spines. Seeds are ovoid, 30-40 mm long, 20-25 mm wide, and the sarcotesta cream or white.
