Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Lowland rainforest in the north-east coast of Madagascar, around the Bay of Antogil.

Description:[edit]

An attractive solitary or clustering sub-canopy palm to 4 m tall. Very broad, widespread leaflets, with the new leaf often red. Very similar in appearance to D. forficifolia.

Culture:[edit]

Warm, sheltered and moist.
