Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Found in several distinct populations in Zimbabwe and Mozambique, usually in very open forest, on steep rocky slopes. These areas get frequent night and early morning mists.

Description:[edit]

A medium sized clumping cycad with erect to leaning trunks up to 4.5 m long and 50 cm diameter, with basal suckers and offsets formed along the trunk. It has dark green leaves.

Uncommon in cultivation.

Culture:[edit]

Sunny, well drained position. Responds well to mulching. Frost sensitive.
