Distribution & Habitat:[edit]
Endemic to the mountains of the Waterberg, Pietersburg, Witbank, and Middelburg districts of the central Transvaal.
Description:[edit]
A solitary or lightly clumping plant to 2.5m tall, with dull blue/silver leaves between 1-1.5m long strongly keeled (opposing leaflets inserted at 50-90° on rachis). It is in the same group as Encephalartos middelburgensis, E. dyerianus, E. dolomiticus, and E. hirsutus.

Requires full sun, and extremely well drained soil. Frost tolerant.
