Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Deciduous forest, in rocky gorges, and slopes in South-eastern Malawi, and north-eastern Mozambique.

Description:[edit]

A medium sized cycad with a trunk to about 2.5m tall. Usually solitary, but sometimes clustering. Leaves are dark green, and up to 2m long.

Culture:[edit]

Sunny, moist, but well drained position.
