E. gratus in Malawi[edit]

The female plant beside the banana tree (Figure 3) is standing right in a rocky river. I was very surprised by that. I would have expected the plants in a drier place. In fact it grows in the rainiest part of Malawi; beside the Mulanje mountain, which is composed of granite and is the highest mountain in Malawi.
