Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Open, exposed mountainous areas in Natal and Zululand, South Africa

Description:[edit]

A large cycad to about 6m tall, usually solitary, but sometimes with several trunks, and basal suckers. Leaves are bright green. Very similar to E. altensteinii.

Culture:[edit]

Sunny, well drained position. Frost tolerant.
