Kei cycad

Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Exposed rocky outcrops in Eastern Cape province, South Africa. Dry, mild to hot summers, and cold winters with frequent heavy frosts.

Description:[edit]

Clumping, medium to large cycad to about 4m tall. Blue/green leaves.

General:[edit]

Very similar to Encephalartos lehmannii, altho this species is more robust.

Culture:[edit]

Full sun and well drained. Frost tolerant.
