Common Names:[edit]

Millstream Palm

Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

River banks and soaks of the Hammersley Ranges, Western Australia, around the headwaters of the Fortescue, and Hooley Rivers. The Millstream Pools are 4 permanent water pools along the Fortescue River.

Description:[edit]

A medium fan palm, with a rounded head of fine, blue/green leaves.

General:[edit]

This is a relict palm, of the time when Australia was covered in tropical/sub-tropical vegetation.

Culture:[edit]

Sunny, moist position. Probably doesn't mind wet feet. Very slow.
