Chinese Fan Palm

Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Open forest on Japan, Taiwan, and the Ryukyu Islands.

Description:[edit]

An attractive, solitary, fan palm to about 10 m with distinctive drooping tips to its leaves. It gets large bunches of blue fruit.

General:[edit]

One of the most common palms seen in south-east Queensland.

Culture:[edit]

Preferably a sunny, moist position, but its a tough, easy to grow palm, tolerant of a wide range of conditions.
