An emergent palm of the tropical rainforest, widely spread throughout southeast Asia.
Description:[edit]
A tall fan palm (to about 25m), with red/orange, heavily armed petioles. It has large clusters of bright blue fruit.
Culture:[edit]
Sunny, moist, but well drained position. Quite cold tolerant when older.
