New Guinea rainforest

Description:[edit]

Small to medium solitary palm to 9m tall, with a whitish crownshaft, and wedge-shaped leaftlets on arching leaves. Its quite similar to P. caryotoides, but is stronger and more robust, and the seeds aren't red at maturity, they're purple/black.

Culture:[edit]

Warm, sheltered and moist, but well drained position.
