Rainforest of north-eastern Madagascar.
Description:[edit]
A very distinctive, medium sized, single trunked palm to about 9m, with a "zebra stripping" on the rachis, and white underside to the leaves.
General:[edit]
Endangered in the wild, with only 2 small populations known.
Culture:[edit]
Warm, sheltered, and moist. Likes a very light, open mix and heavy shade. Very slow growing. Figure 1. R. albicans showing the white underside to the leaf.
