Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Open forest in Mexico.

Description:[edit]

A very large palm, to about 20m tall, which carries a large number of very long costa-palmate leaves. The young plants can have a distinctive bluish tinge to the leaves.

Culture:[edit]

A sunny, well drained position in the subtropics or warm temperate regions.
