Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Endemic to Colombia, in the province of Santander, where it has two distinct populations.

Description:[edit]

A medium sized cycad to about 2m tall, with leaves to 1m long.

General:[edit]

This plant was named after the genus Encephalartos because it has far more similarities to that genus, than to most other Zamias

Culture:[edit]

Sunny, well drained position.
