Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Northern Colombian and southern Panamanian rainforest.

Description:[edit]

A medium sized plant with leaves to about 2m long. It has a very distinctive collar-like structure at the join of the leaflet, and the petiole (leaflet stalk).

Culture:[edit]

Warm, sheltered, and moist. In habitat it receives about 5m of rain a year, so it likes it very moist.
