Not endangered.

Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

It is found on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and along the eastern coast of Belize.

Description:[edit]

A small cycad with a subterranean caudex up to 10cm in diameter. It usually has 2-3 leaves, between 0.5 and 1.5 m long, and a prickled petiole. The leaflets are lanceolate with serrated margins in the upper two thirds, and up to 30cm long, and 8cm wide.

Culture:[edit]

Sunny, sandy, well drained position.
