Irian Jaya (western New Guinea) rainforest.

===Description:===
A small/medium, understory palm to about 2.5m (8ft) tall,
with large leaves that have irregular width leaflets.

===Cultivation:===
Warm, sheltered and moist. Tropics/warm sub-tropics.
