Jaggery Palm<br/>
Toddy Palm<br/>

===Distribution & Habitat:===
Forests of India, Sri Lanka, and Burma.

===Description:===
Large, solitary palm, to about 20m, with a grey trunk,
and gracefull, arching bipinnate leaves.

===General:===
These palms are monocarpic. They flower from the top down,
and once the last fruit on the bottom inflorescence matures,
the plant dies.

===Culture:===
Full sun in deep well drained soil.
Will thrive even in warm temperate regions.
