===Description:===
An medium to large, attractive, solitary fan palm with a
smooth, slender trunk to about 10m tall,
and a dense crown of bright green, costa-palmate leaves,
which are very finely divided, with up to 100 segments.

===Generl:===
The trunks are used by the locals for building,
because they provide a very hard and long lasting timber.

===Culture:===
Sunny, moist, but well drained position.
Drought tolerant, but slow grower.
