===Distribution & Habitat:===
This species is found on Vanua Levu and Taveuni Islands (Fiji) from 300 to 800 meters elevation.

===Description:===
Supported by occasionally branching stilt roots this palm grows
to 7 meters with a green trunk banded with prominent leaf base scars
and an olive green crownshaft. Fronds number 8 to 10 with board bright green leaflets.
Fruits are round and up to 2.5 cm across and blackish when ripe.

===Cultivation:===
This palm is not known in cultivation but may do well in subtropical
to temperate regions that do not experience frost.
It will also require a lot of water and filtered light.
