Rainforest of eastern Madagascar, possibly from a high altitude.

Small (to about 4m) feather palm, closely related to
''R. hildebrandtii''

Only recently rediscovered, after being lost for 50 years.

===Culture:===
Warm, sheltered, and moist. Can be rather difficult.
