Description:[edit]
One of the most attractive of the very attractve Hydriastele, this is a solitary species with large, leathery, undivided, dark green leaves, growing up to about 2m tall.

The leaves of this plant are used as dinner plates by the natives.
Culture:[edit]
Warm, shady, moist, well drained position. Tropical in its requirements.
