Distribution & Habitat:[edit]
Southern Uganda, around Jinja, and Lake Victoria, where it grows on exposed granite outcrops.
Description:[edit]
A large, clumping cycad, with 4-6 trunks, up to 5m long. Has narrow, dark green leaves up to 3.5 long, and usually held erect. Sometimes develops a very striking yellow rachis.
General:[edit]
Plants are threatened by cultivation, and don't appear to be regenerating.
Culture:[edit]
Sunny, moist, but well drained position. Vigorous grower.
