Synonymy:

P. calamifrons

Habitat:

Stream banks in Borneo rainforest.

Description:

A small palm to about 2m tall, which forms dense clumps. Has narrow, dark green leaflets. It is a rheophyte, (i.e. it grows in the flood plains of streams and rivers) thus it is designed to offer minimum resistance to flood waters.

Culture:

Warm, sheltered and moist.
