Bentinck Palm

Distribution & Habitat:[edit]
Rainforest on the Nicobar Islands (which lie along the eastern edge of the Bay of Bengal).
Description:[edit]
Tall, slender, feather palm to about 15m. Very similar to Archontophoenix cunninghamiana, but with a longer crownshaft.
Culture:[edit]
Fast growing palm for tropical lowland areas. Very cold-sensitive.
