Distribution & Habitat:

Tropical wet forest and tropical premontane rain forest, in central America from Belize to Honduras.

Description:

A medium sized solitary fan palm with a very "hairy" trunk.

Culture:

Lightly shaded, moist but well drained position. Quite slow growing.
