Distribution & Habitat:[edit]
Only found in one high rainfall valley, and adjacent hills and ridges on Mt Panie, New Caledonia, at elevations of between 400 and 1000m.
Description:[edit]
Large, solitary, emergent, pinnate palm to 15m. Leaves are up to 2.5m long, sharply recurved, and have a greyish tinge.
Culture:[edit]
Sunny, moist, but well drained position. Likes lots of moisture. Very rare in cultivation.
