Habitat:[edit]
Lowland rainforest of Borneo.
Description:[edit]
A very spectacular palm, with long upward pointing leaves, giving a shuttlecock-like appearance. Ususally single stemed, although it may have a few small undeveloped suckers at the base. The leaves can be either pinnately divided, or entire (in the case of the form from Sarawak). A moist, well drained sheltered position in the tropics or warm sub-tropics.
