Distribution & Habitat:

Grasslands and open forests of central Caribbean Islands.

Description:

A small, branching cycad with a subterranean stem. Leaves to about 1.5m long.

General:

Only recently described (1987), it is very closely related to Zamia pygmaea.

Culture:

Full sun, or light shade in a well drained position.
