Synonymy:[edit]
Z. lindenii
Distribution & Habitat:[edit]
Rainforests of Ecuador.
Description:[edit]
A large cycad up to 2.5m tall, with 2.5m long, bright green, leaves. Very attractive.
General:[edit]
The plants in the photos are from the Rio Palenque Scientific Center where the American botanist Cal Dodson preserved some original rainforest area. But I am not sure that those Zamias were there naturally or if they have been planted by Cal Dodson, he has definetly planted some of them in some adjacent open areas.
Culture:[edit]
Warm, sheltered and moist.
