Distribution & Habitat:

Rainforest in the Chiapas region of Mexico.

Description:

A medium sized, pinnate, solitary palm to about 5m tall, with quite a thick trunk. Quite similar in appearance to to C. woodsoniana.

General:

Only recently described.

Culture:

Shady, moist, but well drained position.
