Common Names:

Corn palm (by the Maya due to the tightly-packed infructscences).

Distribution & Habitat:

Rainforest of Southern Mexico, and Belize.

Description:

A small clumping palm with thin leaflets, and tightly-packed infructscences.

Culture:

A warm, sheltered and moist but well drained position.
