Endemic to a few limestone ridges of Central Cuba.
Description:[edit]
A tall, solitary, pinnate palm. It is similar in appearance to [[../Gaussia_princeps]], but it has broader leaflets giving it a lushier appearance.

Very rarely seen in cultivation.
Culture:[edit]
Sunny, moist, but well drained. Prefers limestone based soils.
