Distribution & Habitat:[edit]

Native to Thailand where it inhabits humid rainforest.

Description:[edit]

Medium sized palm which can be solitary or suckering. Fruit is orange at maturity.

General:[edit]

Not as widely cultivated or as popular as Licuala peltata var. sumawongii (syn. L. elegans)

Culture:[edit]

Prefers a moist shady position but once established can tolerate dry periods.
