Philippine forest.

Description:[edit]

A solitary, pinnate palm to about 8 metres (25 feet) tall. It has an attractive ringed trunk and upright leaves with drooping leaflets. Somewhat similar in appearance to Howea forsteriana (the Kentia palm).

This plant is poisonous, especially the seeds. Use gloves when cleaning the fruit, and wash your hands afterwards.

Likes a sunny, well drained position.
