Common Names:

Latanier Hauban

Distribution & Habitat:

Rainforest of the Seychelles Islands of Silhoutte, and Mahe.

Description:

An attractive, medium sized solitary palm to about 10m tall. The young plants have a spiny trunk, and entire leaves, however, as the plants age, they lose the spines, and the leaves become irregularly pinnate.

Culture:

Warm, sheltered, and moist. Doesn't like to dry out.
