Distribution & Habitat:[edit]
Sand-dunes of the Cape Province, South Africa.
Description:[edit]
A small cycad, with a trunk to about 1m long, either erect, or reclining.
General:[edit]
Very closely related to Encephalartos latifrons.
Culture:[edit]
Requires excellent drainage (i.e. sand), and prefers light shade. Very frost sensitive.
E. arenarius taken near Alexandria in the eastern Cape.[edit]
