Common Names:

Lata Palm

Habitat:

Centra/South American rainforest.

Description:

Small clustering palm to about 4m, with thin brown trunks, with spines at the nodes. Leaf petioles also have spines.

General:

An alcoholic drink is made from the fruit.

Culture:

Warm, sheltered, and moist.
