===Description:===
Medium/large feather palm to about 10m, with a very distinctive
reddish brown tormentum on the crown-shaft and a white waxy trunk.

===General:===
A very popular palm in the tropics and sub-tropics.
Often confused with another palm also known as the Redneck,
'''''<a href="../wiki/Dypsis_lastelliana" title="Dypsis lastelliana">Dypsis_lastelliana</a>'''''. That palm gets a much darker crown-shaft colouring,
however it is a much, much slower grower, so for most people
(i.e. non palm collectors) this is the preferred plant.

===Culture:===
An easily grown palm which likes full sun/light shade, and a moist,
well drained position.
