===Distribution:===
A single hill in Natal, South Africa

===Distribution & Habitat:===
South facing sandstone cliffs, and scree slopes at about 1000m.

===Description:===
A small to medium sized suckering cycad to about 3m.
Very closely related to ''[[Encephalartos natalensis]]'', and ''Encephalartos lebomboensis]]''.

===General:===
Only described in 1990, and due to its extremely limited distribution
the exact location wasn't divulged in the description to protect
the plant from poachers.

===Culture:===
Sunny, very well drained position. Frost tolerant.
