===Common Names:===
Chinese Fan Palm

===Distribution & Habitat:===
Open forest on Japan, Taiwan, and the Ryukyu Islands.

===Description:===
An attractive, solitary, fan palm to about 10 m with distinctive drooping tips
to its leaves. It gets large bunches of blue fruit.

===General:===
One of the most common palms seen in south-east Queensland.

===Culture:===
Preferably a sunny, moist position, but its a tough, easy to grow palm,
tolerant of a wide range of conditions.
